About Aspirational Blocks Programme: The Aspirational Blocks Programme is a nationwide programme which focuses on improving governance to enhance the quality of life of citizens in the most difficult and underdeveloped blocks of India by converging existing schemes, defining outcomes, and monitoring them on a constant basis. It was launched on 7th January 2023 by Government of India and is anchored by NITI Aayog.nThe programme covers 500 blocks across 27 States and 4 Union Territories.

About the Role of Aspirational Blocks Fellows: The deployment of Aspirational Block (AB) Fellows is a strategic move to bolster the impact of the Aspirational Blocks Program by harnessing the energy, talent, and passion of young fellows from reputed institutions towards achieving its goals of inclusive growth, community empowerment, and building a prosperous India for all. The AB Fellows will work closely with Block level Officials and under the overall guidance of District Magistrate, Bijapur and CEO – ZP to develop strategies for accelerated implementation of ABP thematic areas, facilitate effective monitoring and planning, and conduct field visits to ensure that the interventions are responsive to people’s needs and demands.

Key Responsibilities of Aspirational Blocks Fellows: The Aspirational Blocks Fellows will be positioned as a critical link between the Block level Officials and NITI Aayog. Their primary responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with Block level Officials to design and execute development strategies aligned with ABP thematic areas.
Conducting regular Field visits to assess project implementation, address challenges, and collect ground-level insights.

Analysing data and providing evidence-based recommendations to BLOs, District level

Officials to optimize developmental initiatives.
Organizing workshops, awareness campaigns and skill-building programs to empower the

local community. Keeping State and NITI Aayog abreast with the issues, challenges and need for support.

Support in any other work assigned by District Administration , Bijapur.

Qualifications:
e Post Graduate in any discipline from a reputed institution.

e Should possess data analysis and presentation skills.

e Should be conversant with use of social media.

e Should possess Project Management Skills.

e Experience of minimum 2 Years working with Government institution/ District Administration/ Development Organisation.

e Self-driven with good communication skills.

e Can read, write and speak Hindi and English.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates- e Who possess residence of Bastar Division in Chhatisgarh.

e Who Have completed their higher education in the Development/ Rural management/
Management/ Agriculture stream.

e Who Have a Good Knowledge of local Geography, tradition and Culture.

Job Duration: The tenure of Aspirational Blocks Fellows will initially be 6 months in FY 2023-24 as per NIT! guidelines. (This may or may not be extended).

Expected Compensation: Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 55,000 (inclusive of travel allowance) as a token of appreciation for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the
