Declaration of Final Result of Lower Division Clerk Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the Lower Division Clerk Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 on July 30, 2017, for the recruitment of vacancies in the Lower Division Grade reserved for regularly appointed Group “C” Staff in the Grade Pay Rs.1800 in the following Services/Cadres:

Central Secretariat Clerical Service.
Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service.
Indian Foreign Service (IFS) (B).
Central Passport Organization under the Ministry of External Affairs.
Ministry of Railways (Railway Board).
Department of Legal Affairs (DoLA).
Office of the Registrar General of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The result of Paper-II of the said examination was declared on September 27, 2022, for the evaluation of Paper-I.

Based on the performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, the following are the category-wise details of candidates recommended against the vacancies received from the User Departments:

I. Central Secretariat Clerical Service (C.S.C.S.)

Marks obtained by the last selected candidates for the different categories are as follows:

I. Central Secretariat Clerical Service (C.S.C.S.)

II. Ministry Of External Affairs (IFS Group B)

Total marks of the last selected candidate:

III. Ministry of Railway (Railway Board)

IV. Office of the Registrar General of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs

The allocation was made service-wise, as per the vacancies. The final merit position was determined by adding marks of Paper-I and Paper-II.

Resolution of Tie Cases: In cases where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregate marks, ties have been resolved by applying the following methods one after another in the given order until the tie is resolved:

Total marks in Paper-I and Paper-II.
Marks in Paper-II.
Marks in Paper-I.
Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
Alphabetical order of the first names of the candidates.
The candidates recommended are subject to fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed in the Notice of the Examination and also subject to thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photograph, signatures, handwritings, etc., on the Application Forms, Admission Certificates, etc. The result is available on SSC’s website: https://ssc.nic.in.

The list of candidates is purely provisional and subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the respective posts in the Notice of the Examination.

The category status in respect of candidates belonging to reserved categories has been indicated against their roll numbers. It is in the interest of the candidates concerned to contact the Regional Director (NR) of the Commission immediately in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their roll numbers.

The result of the AFHQ Cadre has not been declared as per the order dated May 18, 2023, of the Hon’ble CAT, PB New Delhi passed in OA No. 2351/2017 & 2600/2017.

Details of marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on the website of the Commission shortly.
